There are 2 methods to sell gap insurance online. In
all methods the agency makes the same commission.
Method
#1 Credit Card
1. Go to our "general public" website: at:
http://www.gapinsurancequotes.com
2. Complete the online application including your
client's credit card information at our "general
public" website on BEHALF of your client. This way
your agency does NOT need to agency bill.
Enter
your agency's affiliate code on page 3 of the
online application. The affiliate code will identify
that we need to send you your commission for that sale.
Agents love this method because they do not need to
agency bill their client. This is the most popular
method.
An immediate e mail will be sent to the e mail address
you entered on the application that the policy has
been submitted. That's proof the application has been
submitted successfully.
Lee and Mason (The administrator) will mail a gap
policy directly to your client within 30days.
The agent will NOT get a copy of the policy.
Use the name "Test" if
you would like to try out the system.
Method 2
Direct Bill
1. Go to our "agent website" at:
http://www.gapinsuranceagents.com
2. Enter your user name and password
3. Fill out the 2 step application and click the
submit button.
General
Info
An immediate e mail will be sent to the username's e
mail address confirming the order. That's your proof
the application has been submitted successfully. Lee
and Mason (administrator) will mail a gap policy
directly to your client within 30 days. The agent will
also be emailed a copy of the policy.
The agent is responsible for collecting the $299
premium from the client. At the end of the month Lee
and Mason will invoice your agency for the net
premium. Agent retains
the commission.
You
can start selling GAP insurance as soon as you receive
your user name and password!
We are working on developing an "Easy Payment" program
by breaking the premium into two or three payments but
presently we only have the payment in full option
available.
The
vehicle can be new or used but The APR on the loan can
not exceed 12.5%
The
vehicle must have been purchased or refinanced within
the last 12 months.
We automatically
send a supply of mailers out to each assigned agent
(may take a few weeks). If the client did not
receive a confirmation of their submission, then
they should check with us and possibly resubmit the
application.
Agents
are emailed
I am copying all
agents on the policies. If the customer has an email
it is emailed to them. If not, it is sent by USPS.
5. If you lose your
password, login in using the username and click
"forgot password" and another one will be emailed to
you. The system designates the passwords and it
cannot be personalized.
